Negotiating is an essential tool in the life of this There is no human being who has any doubts. It takes us from deciding where we are going to eat to negotiate wages and to resolve conflicts, the ability to effectively negotiate can be the difference between success and failure if we see it in a drastically way or the difference between a simpler than complicated life. However, many people underestimate the importance of preparing for a negotiation and developing strong skills to achieve what is desired.

And without a doubt, one of the most important aspects of negotiation, which is generally obvious is the ability to generate solid connections with the people with whom it is negotiated. In the north we say that “everything is fixed with a roast carnita”, because the background comes from here. While it is important to know the facts and numbers, it is also essential to understand the other person’s perspective, their interests. By understanding this, we can generate an environment in which both parties feel valued and listened to, that is, it is easier to transmit that “I care what you care about” and this can increase our chances of success.

In addition to generating solid connections, it is essential to prepare properly before a negotiation, but I am not coming to talk to you about this (perhaps on a future occasion I will surely do it. I will summarize this with one more phrase: “If you like him, it is not a guarantee that you will reach an agreement, but if you fall for him Bad is a guarantee that they will hardly reach the agreement”.

In conclusion, negotiation is a crucial skill in life and it is important to prepare properly for it.  But don’t forget that a solid connection can significantly improve our chances of success in any negotiation. So don’t leave aside that the agent is more likely to agree to go to your favorite restaurant if you have a relationship and if it is solid it will be even easier.

Do not underestimate the importance of learning to connect with strangers, acquaintances, allies, and even one or another enemy, only then will you manage to negotiate not only the restaurant, but also conflicts and perhaps even a better salary or position!
